Paul Snider is a Vancouver actor, director, musician and filmmaker. As an actor, he has appeared in over 70 short films, movies, television episodes and TV/Internet commercials. Paul’s directorial debut feature film Everywhere But Here and his short film The Walk appeared in film festivals in Vancouver, LA, Tampa, New York,
Winnipeg and Toronto. The Walk won Best Actor and Best Director awards at The Creative Arts Film Festival and garnered Paul the Award of Excellence in Filmmaking. His music video Better Than Me won The Royal Reel Award at The Canada International Film Festival. In 2008, after a successful business career in Technology
which garnered him Business in Vancouver’s Top 40 Under 40 Award and Ernst and Young’s Company of the Year Award, he opened his entertainment production company Born To Fly Entertainment which produces film, music and theatre projects.
Among many film projects, he wrote his musical The Curtain and produced a full-cast CD recording. He produced and directed his original musical Junk! The Musical which premiered at The Vancouver Fringe Festival in 2014. This became The Music of Junk, a touring musical theatre show composed of invented original instruments built from recycled materials.
This has been my most difficult film project to date, playing two characters in the same scene and making it seamless. Creating such a comedy, and combining comedy, visual effects and music, has been a dream of mine for many years.
