Emir Alkılıç was born in 2003 as an individual with a cleft lip and palate. He spent a large part of his life in hospitals, which made him successful in empathy and observation. He has been a lover of art and has wanted to reach every aspect of it since childhood. He loves writing, drawing, and designing, and is a dreamer.
Since 2020, he has been regularly practicing writing and focusing on poetry and screenwriting.
He achieved success in the Ay Yapım Short Film Competition. He made two short films, "Smoke" and "I am a teacher." in his first year of university.
His goal and dream is to be able to leave his mark on cinema and art history at a young age, and to inspire young people with illnesses or differences, and to give them hope through his art. His films are generally drama and melancholy-heavy because Writer Emir Alkılıç aims to show people the realities of the world instead of selling them dreams. He likes to tell different perspectives on different subjects, and that is his purpose. For him, there is no clear right or wrong, only empathy and perspective
