Slut Club
SLUT CLUB is a deliciously daring documentary short film chronicling Ms T’s Slut Club, a pole dancing show for women and the LGBTQIA+ community, celebrating the divine feminine and sacred sexuality in all of us.
SLUT CLUB exemplifies the vital role that radical safe spaces play in today's society. These spaces offer a sense of belonging, community, and safety, allowing individuals to explore their identities authentically without fear of judgment or discrimination.
At its core, SLUT CLUB promotes diverse and queer joy as a form of resistance, recognising that “joy becomes resistance against a system that has the purpose of preventing it.” In a world where LGBTQ+ individuals and marginalised bodies still face oppression, spaces like Ms T's Slut Club provide a vital platform for self-expression and community building.

SLUT CLUB began as collaboration between myself and Tiina O’Connor, the owner and instructor at South Pole Studios. We set out to shoot some content for promotional purposes for Ms T’s Slut Club pole dancing show, and I quickly realised that there was a deeper and profoundly life-changing story here. It began as a whisper, a quiet questioning of the labels we assign and the boxes we force people and communities into, particularly concerning sexuality and identity.
As a producer and director, I‘m drawn to stories that have the potential to affect social change and advancing the discourse on queer human rights around the world. With SLUT CLUB, I felt a deep urgency to create a space on screen where labels and stereotypes could be challenged, deconstructed, and ultimately, transcended.
This film is about authentic celebration and fostering empathy and understanding for the complexities of diverse human experience. We live in a world quick to judge and slow to listen, often reducing individuals to simplistic and damaging stereotypes. SLUT CLUB aims to disrupt this narrative by exploring the what it means to live fully present in your own body and claim you sexual power.
My intention was to create a sexy and visually compelling piece that reflected the feel and experience of Ms T’s Slut Club pole dancing show, while crafting an engaging and emotionally resonant story that invites dialogue and introspection.
Ultimately, SLUT CLUB is a call for celebration and a rejection of shame. It's an invitation to look beyond the surface of our own prejudices, to recognise the shared humanity that lies beneath societal constructs, and to embrace the multifaceted nature of sexuality and identity.
I hope this film sparks conversations that lead to a more inclusive and compassionate world.
