Mansour Assad Directed 2 short movies and Slave Movie was the first feature film as independent film got funded by red sea film festival.
"Slave" meaning, Everyone who gives his mind and heart to something, a person, or even another inanimate object and obey there commands without question or hesitation. The "slaves of society" are a different type that we also have. The worst slaves can be those in society! why ? Because he obeys several directions and could develop insanity as a result! Because he follows an order, then another one today, and then another opposite of the one he followed yesterday—all of which were personal judgments made by different people—he cannot determine which is correct or not.
The fact that society includes my family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and even complete strangers on social media is what made me care about this subject. Although the movie is deemed bold in comparison to the movies we are used to, someone needs to talk about such a delicate subject.
The nicest thing about the subject is that the story is told through a few emotionally relatable individuals and a visually appealing fictitious environment, and I think that the most recent iteration of the movie will be appealing to cinema reviewers and the Arab public at large!
