Aleister V is a Translator, Interpreter, Writer and Director born in Santiago, Chile. He began creating stories as a child, inspired by science fiction, horror and fantasy films and books.
His directing experimentations, such as a mini-web series and short movies, solidified his passion and determination to become a filmmaker, taking courses, self-learning and embarking on other independent creative endeavors.
Aleister's horror short story first published on 2017, "The Bokor's Shadow", was featured on the American podcast Chambers of Horror in 2019 as "Apartment 315". His short story, "The White Canvas", was selected by the Colombian-Mexican editorial group Letras Negras to be included in their Latin American rural horror stories collection book Laments of the forest II published in 2023.
Skinbound is a very intimate story that talks about identity and the irrelevance of this personal struggle amidst a life that doesn't stop for no one, even when there is a terrible and ulterior motive from something that is not from this world.
The first version of the story was made 12 years ago for an online game video contest which was then re-written as a short story that was never published. I felt drawn to re-explore the fundamental concepts of loneliness, homogeneity and the alien in a more modern and grounded take.
