Sinuca de Bico (Cornered)
Based on real life events, Sinuca de Bico is a raw, personal short about the quiet violence of work. Bruno moves through São Paulo with a body on autopilot and a mind that won’t rest. As the boundary between outer chaos and inner collapse dissolves, the film asks what it means to stay human inside a machine built for constant output—because now, with AI, everything should be faster.

Odair Faleco is a Brazilian multidisciplinary artist and AI filmmaker based between São Paulo and Prague. An early adopter of AI tools since 2023, his work explores the intersection of storytelling, technology, and visual culture, combining cinematic language with emerging AI workflows.
He is the founder of zero1cine, the first curated platform dedicated to AI films, and President and Curator of the Czech Int. AI Film Festival in Prague. His work and research have been recognized internationally, including participation as a shortlisted filmmaker, speaker, and panelist at the 2025 Busan International AI Film Festival, and by the United Nations AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva. Faleco believes AI expands cinema rather than replaces it.
Like it or not, AI is democratizing filmmaking, a privilege that has long been reserved to only a small group in our society.
