"Singapore Streets" was born from an absence — a story of a film that never came to be. I was moved by a documentary about a lost movie: a youthful dream interrupted, a creative moment frozen in memory but never realized on screen.
I had no access to the original footage, no script to follow, only the powerful feeling of a time and place — a 1990s Singapore on the cusp of change, full of energy, rebellion, and fragile hope.
In that spirit, I built my own version of their dream, guided not by fact but by emotion. My film is less a recreation and more an echo — an imagined past stitched together from glimpses of a vanished story.
This project stands as a tribute to lost work, to youthful ambition, and to the universal longing to complete what was left unfinished.
