Silven from Teghut
The film tells the story of Silven, an African football player from Côte d'Ivoire. After playing in Armenia for several years, he ended his professional football career and was offered a high-paying job in the capital. However, he declined the offer and has been living in the remote village of Teghut, Armenia, for several years. Silven chose a peaceful, unhurried life, adapted to the village’s routine, and grows vegetables and keeps chickens. For him, the most important thing is that the children of Teghut become true football champions. He wants to prove that success does not require being from the capital. Despite financial, racial, and cultural challenges, he continues his mission. Silven hopes his work and efforts will impact not only football but also the moral education of children, inspiring them to learn, work, and pursue their goals. This film reveals the human warmth and belief that Silven has brought to a small village in Armenia, uniting cultures and people’s dreams for the future.
