Silent City Driver

32-year-old Myagmar, who made a mistake at a young age by involving in a murder case, spent 14 years in prison, came out into the free-world and adopts stray dogs. He was not well received by society because he was serving time in prison, and the only mother he had died while he was in prison, and he was left alone. Although he had applied to many organizations in order to make a living by working, he could not be trusted and could not find any job. He had no friends and except for his 20 stray dogs. He suffered a severe brain injury due to a severe beating while in prison, and is now stammer while speak, also has kidney failure and has to undergo hemodialysis every week to get a living visa. But one day, he is hired as a hearse driver by a funeral organization. His life changes...

Director Statement

We call life a few decades between being born into this universe crying out that I have come and returning to make many people cry. Between birth and death, what are we here to do, just eat and drink, sleep, learn and work, laugh and cry, suffer and be happy, multiply and leave offspring? We have always asked ourselves what is the meaning of this life and what should a person do to live without regret when he dies.

Even now, at the age of 47, I kept asking myself these questions and trying to show myself the answers I found at that time through films.
Once upon a time, I thought, why can't a person die with someone and go to the grave with them? At what point can a person die in a coffin with someone?

The greatest fear of mankind is death. Perhaps death is the most frightening and disturbing thing because of the uncertainty of when it will come and what it will be like and where do we go. Life and everything in life is impermanent, it perishes just as it was created. In contrast, although we don't know it, many people die and leave this life every day, death is not something to be afraid of, it is something that can be said to be very simple and even sometimes beautiful. In order to show that, the hearse driver was chosen as the main character in this film.

The main character, Myagmar, is a mirror of our modern times, who is lonely and distant from others, unable to express himself, distanced from people and live relationships, and on the contrary prefers to keep dogs and be with them, and is marginalized by society.
He killed a man and imprisoned, and as a twist of fate, lost his speech ability partly due to beatings in prison, kidney failure due to prolonged exposure to cold, wet and moldy conditions, prolonging his life with the help of hemodialysis machines, and gotten interested in homosexuality due to abuse in prison. He is ready to die whenever the death knocks on his door.
How can a seriously ill person live, who is known as a murderer for killing a man and has no one to remember him, who is always dreaming and fearing the last breath of the person he killed, and who is sure that he will die at any moment.

From the beginning to the end of the movie, the suspense and the events that are going to happen will be unpredictable, and the audience will even see Tuesday as a serial killer. That's why this film has the dark and mysterious tone of a thriller, but the melodious and bright tone of a drama. A few times throughout the film, the music will play and it will be Pink Floyd songs. No other music was written for the film, and there are no extras other than live ambient tracks. Also, in the role selection, non-professional actors will be chosen to play the role, although they are young, they have seen life, they have suffered, they hide sadness in their eyes, they are hardened like the eyes of an old man.
The tone of the film will be cold, gloomy, gray and sometimes bright, just like our life, hard and soft, dark and bright
