Sick to Death

Following a violent outburst at work, Nina must attend therapy to save her legal career. Worried she'll be exposed as a sociopath and upset the only person in her life who's stuck around, her childhood social worker, she goes to funerals to mimic ‘normal’ people. Surrounded by others' loss, Nina finds the strength to drop the mask, realising that instead of being a monster, she's been living under the control of one.

Writer Biography

Kathryn Robinson is an emerging screenwriter. Following her Masters (Distinction) in Screenwriting from Falmouth University, her first two short films have secured 12 nominations/selections and one win at festivals. Now, she's plunging herself into the unknown as a professional writer. An insatiable dreamer, she completed 20 years' in corporate communications, leaning deeply into her understanding of behavioural psychology to make a point. Now (probably) knees deep in a mid-life crisis, she spends her days writing 'unlikeable' women, keen to start seeing more nuanced, colourful and more realistic depictions of women on screen. When she's not glued to her trusty notebook, laptop or TV, she'll be walking her Labrador, Dolly, on the beach and (mis)managing her endometriosis with Criminal Minds and Chocolate Fingers.
