Director Statement

"Shop My Stash" came from Nicole. One of the many things that surprised me.

Initially, I wanted explore makeup and what it meant. Through filming Nicole and her makeup ritual, I discovered this was a golden time for her to reflect on her life as well as doing something artistic and enjoyable.

I wanted to portray this for what it is, multi-layered performance art. A glimpse into one woman's world as she applies her joy.
