Shiva got her start in Grand Guignol-style theatre and then made the transition into film-making as a practical effects artist in 2008. She worked the gory effects for over two dozen films before being talked (well...dragged, actually) into the director's chair in 2013.
Since then she's directed two feature films and several short films... and even quite a few remote films during the lock-down of 2020.
Shiva and her partner-in-crime, D. Duckie Rodriguez, began writing stage shows together back in 1997 and then moved into screen-writing a few years later. They've received many accolades for their feature scripts such as "Sanson", "The Family Way", and "The Haunt".
