Experiencing Interruptions?

Shiulee meets Shiuli

A fiction film based on the concept of recurring dreams. Shiulee used to have frequent dreams of a particular place and after that, she could not sleep for hours which caused anxiety. For this deception, she used to do two things either she slept with Shiuli (jasmine flower) or tried to find that place in her real-life but she couldn't find peace and rest anywhere she had dreamed of. After a series of time, she never got that recurring dream as she had achieved the dream with Shiuli in real life.

Director Statement

The idea for this short fiction comes from my recurring dream that I was having for the past 15 years and I can’t figure it out. The dream was discrete but incessant. Sometimes I see an abandoned house, sometimes I see underground green lights, and sometimes some elements which came in a dream before combined and come again in my next dream.
So, I took this as a narrative for my short experimental fiction and give it a shape of the story in which recurring dreams mean unmet needs which need to be fulfilled.
