Shine Bright
Shine Bright is a human–AI collaborative English–Korean pop song performed by a 12-year-old Indian singer, created as a father–daughter creative experiment at the intersection of technology and emotion.
Conceived by media professional and independent creator Jake Joss under his music venture Original Sing, the project began as a challenge: to compose a K-Pop inspired track for his daughter, despite not speaking Korean. Artificial intelligence was used as a supportive tool to bridge linguistic and stylistic gaps, assisting in lyric refinement and compositional structure. The emotional core, however, remained human.
With one condition from the young performer - she would only sing the song if she genuinely loved it - the final track became a moment of shared authorship. After approving the demo, she recorded the vocals herself, bringing authenticity and youthful energy to the performance.
The accompanying visual treatment blends AI-assisted image generation with manual editing and rhythmic synchronization, creating a cohesive lyric-driven visual universe anchored by a consistent character design.
Shine Bright explores a balanced model of AI in music-making - not as replacement, but as bridge. At its heart, it is a story about creativity across generations, cultural boundaries, and languages, where technology supports intent and human voice carries the soul.

Jake Joss is a media professional with over 18 years of integrated media planning experience across India, China and Malaysia. Alongside his professional career, he founded Original Sing as a long-term creative venture focused on building music rooted in intent, originality and emotional endurance.
His recent body of work explores human–AI collaboration in music and visual storytelling, including globally recognised AI-driven projects such as Daddy and Azaadi. Through these works, he examines how emerging technologies can support authorship without replacing human voice or lived experience.
Shine Bright began as something simple and personal. I wanted to create a K-Pop inspired English–Korean song for my daughter, even though I do not speak Korean. The challenge was not technical. It was emotional. I wanted her to feel proud of the song and choose to sing it because she genuinely loved it.
AI became a bridge rather than a shortcut. It helped refine language nuances and compositional elements, but the heart of the project remained human. When she heard the final demo and said yes, that moment defined the film more than any technology involved.
For me, Shine Bright represents a model of creative collaboration where intent leads and technology supports. It is about crossing linguistic and generational boundaries, while keeping a real human voice at the centre of the experience.
