'She Said' Music Video

'She Said' song by Saskatoon musician Katie Tupper from her album '‘Where To Find Me’, filmed by Molly Schikosky. Molly and Katie co-directed the music video, working alongside a team of all Saskatchewan creatives. The music video is set on a quintessential prairie landscape - open fields, earthy tones, moonlit skies. The song and video explore emotional elements of longing, questioning, self reflection, and expansion.

While filming, Molly aimed to bring the viewer along for a beautiful and emotionally raw experience of 'She Said'. The elements of connection and vulnerability were considered in scenes. We weaved emotions with visual art to create a video that leaves you reminiscing of past love, revisiting lingering feelings, and running towards your future self unearthed through your experiences.

Director Statement

Working on this music video was so wonderful. Katie and I are close friends, so any chance we get to collaborate together is such. joy. We share similar experiences of moving through the world as women, navigating feelings and identities, and an appreciation for the way art carries our stories and has the ability to move us. When we get to bring elements of life into work - there's a creative force that feels tangible and powerful.

Our team on set and behind the scenes were all amazing, and we couldn't have done it without them. I'm very proud of this project we all created and so happy to share it with the world.
