Shamica Anderson is an American screenwriter, director, videographer and film editor, who has been able to contribute her take on themes regarding mental health, interracial relationships, southern culture and music. Born in 1988 in Jacksonville, North Carolina, she gained her influences from Asian Film, Robert Townsend, early to late 1990 sitcoms, sci-fi and supernatural film, applying it to her fun yet deep and serious film-making. Most known for her relaxed, comedic informative way of storytelling, Anderson has gained attention by way of the New Jersey Film Awards and East Coast Movie Awards, leading to her achieving two awards.
