Margaret’s work fuses supernatural drama with real-world grit.
I created Shadows: Chicago’s Underworld because I wanted to see a supernatural story that felt like my world—urban, gritty, and real. These characters carry trauma, loyalty, and secrets just like the people I’ve grown up around.
This isn’t just about vampires—it’s about survival, family, and what happens when the systems meant to protect us become the ones we have to fight.
I write from the gut, with heart, edge, and truth.
