Olivia Cogorno:
Olivia was born on June 28, 2006, in the city of Buenos Aires. She is a creative mind with a passion for exploring the world through words and images. Since the age of 10, she has been drawn to the power of storytelling and the magic of video editing. She finds her inspiration in the tranquility of the pages of a good book and in the ability to transform ideas through visual art.
Her introspection has allowed her to immerse herself in fictional worlds and discover new perspectives that she then reflects in her creative projects. Video editing became her preferred medium of expression, merging images and sounds to tell stories and create captivating experiences that invite deep reflection.
Despite her quiet personality, Olivia possesses a silent determination that drives her pursuit of excellence in every task she undertakes. Her meticulous approach and ability to find beauty in the details distinguish her as a talented visual storyteller.
Julia Papa:
Julia was born on December 6, 2005, in the city of Buenos Aires. When she's in a good mood, she radiates a contagious energy that lights up any space she's in, and when she's not, it's better to stay out of her way. From an early age, her passion for acting and dancing has been evident to those around her. Her outgoing spirit and ability to express herself through art have led her to explore various forms of creativity. From her first steps on stage to her moves on the dance floor, Julia has shown innate talent and unwavering dedication to her passions.
From the moment she discovered her love for theater and dance, Julia has sought opportunities to share her art with the world. Whether in school productions, community events, or acting workshops, her vibrant presence and commitment to excellence have left a lasting impression on those who have seen her perform.
For Julia, cinema is a natural extension of her creativity. As a short film director, she seeks to capture genuine emotions and tell stories that resonate with the audience. Her ability to communicate through the screen, combined with her enriching approach and teamwork skills, make her an inspiring force behind every project she undertakes.
Our personal relationship:
Although at the beginning we didn't get along entirely well, and our different personalities created some friction, the process of working together on the short film gave us the opportunity to get to know each other better and discover the strengths that complement each other. As we shared ideas, overcame challenges, and celebrated achievements, we forged an indestructible bond that transcended the initial differences. What started as an ego struggle soon turned into a creative collaboration and eventually transformed into a solid friendship. Our joint journey towards the realization of the short film not only allowed us to reach new artistic horizons but also provided us with the invaluable reward of a lasting friendship.
What we love most about cinema is its ability to create imaginary worlds with which we can express what is difficult for us to put into words. Something similar is what happens to the protagonist of "Shadows": unable to express his anguish, a monster takes over his mind and torments him wherever he goes.
Metaphorically, the short film speaks of the insecurities that young people have when it comes to expressing ourselves. Many times, we don't say what we think, and that eats away at us from the inside. If only we knew that it is our decision to break free from those chains and face life with courage, being a teenager would be easier.
