Valentino Dors is a filmmaker and visual storyteller who is making waves through the creative pulse of South Florida. Born in Paramaribo, Suriname, and raised in Miami, his creations are grounded in culture and recognizable through visual style.
Valentino’s horror short “Shore Gore” premiered at Popcorn Frights Film Festival and earned a Spooky Empire Festival nomination, establishing him as a bold new voice in film and storytelling. With his brand, FILM CULT, it is where he creates work that bridges the line between realism and cinematic imagination.
Integrating his expertise, Valentino asserts a bold and intentional style forged by blending music video dynamics with cinematic scale. With his bold style and sophisticated color language, it brings a new-age feel yet warmly familiar at the same time.
Shade is inspired by what it feels like to chase a dream and still feel invisible. Down here, it’s easy to get caught up in who’s trending or who’s shining the brightest. But for some of us, it’s never been about that. It’s about creating something honest, that actually means something, even if nobody’s watching.
I made this film for the ones building in silence, the ones that are still learning, still pushing, and still believing that what they do matters. Miami inspired it, but it’s bigger than that. It’s for anyone who’s ever felt overlooked, but kept going anyway.
