Seven 7 Seven

Seven hundred and seventy seven metres. The bizarre number that measures a gap between two cliffs.

In March 2021, a group of dirty and like minded individuals come together to break the Australian record for longest line rigged and bridge this 777m gap.

Heartfelt and soulful, Divya Gordon and Ali Vann give you a glimpse into what it is like to be part of the Australian highlining community and what it means to highline.

Director Biography - Divya Gordon, Ali Vann

Div & Ali met aboard a catamaran named 'Barefoot'. Three months later they had sailed the Coral Sea, dived unchartered reefs and filmed the first series of a TV show called, 'Blue Water Safari' together. A tight bond was forged.

The documenting duo went on to create many more projects & tell the stories that mattered most to them.

'Seven 7 Seven,' is their most refined piece yet, conveying Divya's deep love of highlining and Ali's artistic shooting direction.

Director Statement

Divya:

“I spent 4 years in the highlining community before I felt fit to represent it through film. Packed into ‘Seven 7 Seven’ is the heart and soul of Aussie highlining, as seen by me. Years of access battles have made our ethos strong and our community tight knit. In ‘Seven 7 Seven,’ some of the sweetest, most unassuming humans share with you their most vulnerable selves. To capture our memories is special, to share them is another level of exciting.”
