Micke is a film director from Sweden who began making Super 8 short films as a child. In 1989, he won a national short film festival alongside a friend and later directed several rock videos that aired on MTV Europe.
With over 32 years of experience as an editor at the public service broadcaster SVT, Micke has contributed to numerous award-winning projects, including two Prix Europa winners. He also edited all the sketches for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013 (200 million viewers!).
Micke's numerous short films include drama "Plastpappan" (1999) and genre "Zombie Psycho Sthlm" (2004). He wrote and directed a segment of the feature-length horror anthology "Faust 2.0" (2014). In addition to fiction, he has directed two feature documentaries: "Hans Arnold - Art of the Sorcerer" (2019) and "Semitjov - Dreams for a Better World" (2025).
First of all: I'm extremely happy to have the world class voice talents of acclaimed actors: Stina Ekblad, Shebly Niavarani, Per Ragnar, Frida Röhl and Tomas Laustiola and also Nina Stemme (several times pointed out as the best opera singer in the world). An USP is that Stina Ekblad and Per Ragnar were Ingmar Bergman favorite actors!
This is the documentary about the creative genius Eugen Semitjov and his fascinating background.
"Semitjov - Dreams for a Better World" is a film that moves between two ages: the future, a grand space vision created by Eugen Semitjov, and the past, where his father Vladimir struggles to survive as a refugee in a foreign land. The film weaves these stories together into a thought-provoking and innovative story beyond time and space, where the struggle and creativity of two generations is mirrored against humanity's greatest adventure ever.
