Ellie Race-Moore an actor/writer and Massachusetts native currently residing in Los Angeles. She is a frequent performer at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater and recipient of their Thomas Angel Foundation scholarship for women in comedy. She has written for Reductress, Outfit7 and Donut Media. She and her writing partner, Kristina Felske, currently have a script in development with Awesomeness/Nickelodeon. She once did a commercial with Godzilla, but they don't stay in touch. Self Help is her first short film and directorial debut. She is excited to share something so personal with the world.
I wrote this film at the height of the pandemic and like a lot of people I was able to process a lot of my emotions through art and writing. Although the story is post apocalyptic it was very grounding to work on. It's a story I think we can all relate to of trying your hardest to do everything 'right' while the circumstances around you are so out of your control.
