Director Statement

The story of self harm takes place in tehran, a megacity located in the heart of Middle east. Although it is considered as the financial, cultural and polical hub of the country as it contains one quarter of the population, the lower middle class of society struggle with cultural problems which have overshadowed the bonds in families. In this film, two brothers are in disagreement over the simplest issues in life and dispute bitterly over the inheritance of a father who has lapsed in coma. They hurt each other like two strangers as if they do not believe in any human virtues.
