Director Biography - Marianna Vesku

Marianna was born in Moscow and grew up near Moscow. Since childhood she was fond of different kinds of arts: from music and dancing to photography and painting. After graduating from Moscow State Institute of Culture she started her career as a director of children's cartoons. After that she became interested in improvisational music and generative video. in 2018 she moved to Berlin. Now she combines her profession as a film and animation director. Creates commercial videos and creative projects.

Director Statement

Mariannа creates a dark and metaphysical atmosphere in her works, immersing the viewer in a world of feelings and pure emotion. Music and dance play an important role in her works. In animation, collage, spirituality and the infinity of the subconscious become a frequent theme of her work.
