Joe Rosenberger, aka "Ceros Princeps", began making short films for real in 2016 after a long, long time wanting to get into the film and video industry. As a percussionist, he had also long wanted to record and create percussion driven songs on his own with influences that varied from Rush (and Neil Peart), to jazz (and Buddy Rich), to percussion driven Latin jams to name a few.
As Joe got older, more 'worldly' influences started coming into play with reggae, Middle Eastern music, and African tribal rhythms. What all of these combinations created was an appreciation for the mood music can evoke within the human psyche. It was this, and the dive into film and video, that got him to start experimenting with producing his own music for video projects.
In doing so, the artist Ceros Princeps was born (after jokingly using that title for his video business, Monoceros Multimedia. Monoceros is the unicorn constellation and Ceros Princeps being Latin for head unicorn).
Joe knew the mood he wanted to create in his different film and video projects and stock music or free music tracks weren't cutting it for him. His first project with original tracks was his entry in the 48 Hour Film Project, "Suri's Plot" and with the experience of shooting, editing, and producing a music video for Nicole Ordes (find her on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgVvHR9yUOT9YZe0GpSieog), he knew exactly what it took to edit a song to the right moment to create tension, surprise, laughter, or whatever the moment called for.
With "Detestable Practices", Joe also took the next step in doing Foley recording (stabbing a watermelon creates such sublime flesh sounds) as well as creating the sound effects and music for the film. He is constantly learning how to manipulate sounds and arrange each song so it helps tell the story of a scene ... or all by itself.
I sincerely hope you enjoy some of these creations and appreciate your consideration!
