Secrets.

Secrets...every town has them.
As well as everyone.
We live and we breathe while at the same time.
We hide who we truly are from everyone around us.
So that no one would be none the wiser.
While there are others that are just barely getting by.
You cannot control the thoughts and feelings of another.
As we are all born with the ability of freewill.
Secrets...they're a part of our everyday lives.
Just look around you and you'll see.
But there are some people that are in denial.
And as a result, they believe their own lies.
People talk which leads to gossip.
You keep things to yourself.
For fear that your Secrets will be found out.
In life one has to face the consequences of the truth.
People stare; you hear the whispers.
You see the way people look at you.
What right does anyone have to pass judgement?
When no one knows who you really are.
That is why we all leave behind a legacy of Secrets.

Artist Biography

I am from WV where I was born and raised. I have participated in the local, amateur arts since childhood. I sang in the school/church choir in the past; I've been writing poetry since I was 16 years old. My artistic projects online consist of blogs, photography and videos that I have created. I live a very quiet, private life and I spend time with my family when I can. I have a great love for the arts, nature, animals, human & animal rights, music, literature, Greek mythology and movies, T.V. shows as well. I'm also a big fan of pop culture and I enjoy photography as a hobby. I like to enter art, photography and writing contests/exhibits, my artistic interests continue to grow and evolve as I go through life. I have an affinity for things that exist that are not of this world.

Artist Statement

There are unique individuals, time era's, places, mysteries and historical occurrences that I am moved by, drawn to and I feel so connected. Spring is one of my favorite seasons because it means that everything is alive, awake and born anew. And it means that summer is soon to follow, the summer foliage is so beautiful, and its nature in balance. Each year I try harder and harder to hold on to the warm months. As the summer descends into autumn, which I refer to as Halloween season. I find that time of the year so enchanting but then the world and all of life itself falls into a deep, almost a never-ending winter's slumber. And once again I cannot wait for it to come to an end. Life is a long and perilous journey and to everyone out there please never give up on your dreams. Because there is always hope, everyone deserves a chance. Don't just hold on to your youth, I want you to run toward it. To be amidst its eternal embrace.
