Cameron Mitchell Elmore grew up acting on stage in San Diego before moving to Los Angeles, where he began acting, writing and directing for television and film. His acting credits include a principal role in Paramount Pictures’ Scouts’ Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse as well as in a Priceline TV commercial.
His experiences led to his foray into filmmaking, in which he is known for writing and directing sci-fi and comedy. He has a bachelor’s degree in film production, with an emphasis in directing and screenwriting, from The Los Angeles Film School.
“Secret Space” is a short film years in the making, written before I ever went to film school. Finally, I was able to make the film in school with the help of a large crew of dedicated classmates and friends and the encouragement from the faculty at The Los Angeles Film School. In many ways, I can relate to the lead male character, Dan, who just doesn’t seem to fit in. Nicole is the type of outgoing, strong female lead character that I prefer, and it is she who through perseverance and sacrifice eventually leads Dan to his rightful place in the world. “Secret Space” is an ode to the sci-fi and fantasy films that I grew up with and some of which were around long before I was born.
