Schumann
"FOR EVERY KILOGRAM OF FLESH - A CRUSADE FOR ZERO GRAVITY."
Genres: Psychological Techno-Thriller / Sci-Fi
World-renowned Rollercoaster Designer Schumann is on a mission to create his most euphoric thrill-ride yet. Whilst wrestling with a broken psyche, corporate greed and his thrill-seekers’ hi-tech hedonistic addiction, he conspires to teach them a lesson they will never forget.
Schumann’s relationship with the stark, hi-tech world of thrill-ride design disintegrates as the hedonistic desires of his thrill-seeking subjects overwhelm him.
A wounded heart and inner conflict manifests madness, as he disconnects - retreating from reality. He creates a bizarre secret observatory within his rollercoaster structure, immersing himself in a strange mixture of hi-tech experimental and esoteric worlds.
His new-found affinity for the super-natural, forces these incompatible worlds to collide. An intriguing union develops with young beguiling Gemma, who opens a window into his soul. This challenging romantic distraction threatens to expose his questionable mission.
Will genius Schumann maintain sanity and self-control, or will bitter personal legacy and distorted creativity force destruction?
Prepare to embark on a tense rollercoaster ride of emotions - exploring the dark depths of human hedonistic excess and madness!

In August 2024 Ma'at Films completed our first feature documentary 'Olly's Light Travels' which was funded with a successful Crowdfunder campaign run in March 2024, in conjunction with the Olly's Future Charity. Through narration of Olly’s vibrant and insightful gap year travelogue journals, we capture the essence of this wonderfully gifted, funny and compassionate young man. We hear from friends and family who’ve been inspired by Olly to create a powerful legacy in his memory - Olly's Future: ollysfuture.org.uk
Olly's Light Travels documents the cathartic journey of souls. Where the grief of Olly’s loss carries each person on their own separate journey, but still connects them with the embodiment of Olly’s love and light. We explore the experiences of his mother, father, family and friends and their individual journeys of grief and how the catalyst of Olly’s light continues to travel, unite and shine beyond, even in the darkest of times.
We are currently submitting our feature documentary 'Olly's Light Travels' and Feature Screenplay 'Schumann' to International Film Festivals.
