At 19, I entered the workforce and quickly realised that climbing the corporate ladder is not as fulfilling as I thought it would be. My passion for the built environment and emerging technologies was strong, but it wasn't strong enough to be subjected to a 9-to-5.
I have a dream, much like other young creatives. If this all stays a dream, at least I tried.
The conversation of moving away from Brisbane and finding my own path has weaved its way into conversations more regularly as I get older. With this, my parents and I discuss the future of my childhood home. I'm conflicted. If I move away, I will become someone I want to be, but I'll lose a closeness to my parents and the things that made me. If I stay, I don't think I will like who I become. This short film allowed me to explore these difficult emotions.
