Director Biography - David Lawrence

Best known for his comedy web series “Beautiful Brisbane” David Lawrence is a one man production house with a flair for the old and odd.
Starting with “Hypermarket Heroes” the supermarket soap opera; David’s brand Faux Facade has been creating high concept unique web content with a flair for the surreal. Being hands-on from start to finish of the filmmaking process, he writes, designs, builds scenery, films and edits his own work, making each project a true David Lawrence creation. His colourful and strange films are inspired by the works of John Waters, Amy Sedaris, Shaun Micallef and with a dash of Sid and Marty Krofft.
Other projects include shorts Holly’s House, Square Eyes and the web series Deep Probe 7 and Uncle Benny’s Ad Vault.
