Born in Pathankot, Punjab, India, on October of 1997, Deepankur Anand's journey into filmmaking began in the tranquil valley of Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. Growing up with limited access to cinemas, his passion for storytelling ignited as he moved for higher education and spent more time in movie theaters than classrooms.
A 2017 graduate of the Faculty of Film and Television at Pandit LakhmiChand State University of Performing and Visual Arts, Deepankur specializes in slice-of-life dramas and travel documentaries. He draws inspiration from many great directors but maintains a distinct, non-influenced approach to his work.
Deepankur's directorial style emphasizes collaboration and trust in his team, allowing them creative freedom while ensuring the film's cohesion. He embraces spontaneity during filmmaking, cherishing the magic of unexpected moments.
While high-profile projects may await him in the future, Deepankur Anand remains dedicated to creating captivating cinematic experiences for global audiences while remaining rooted to his cinema.
