Elizabeth's journey to Hollywood began with humble origins. She was raised on her family's 1800's homestead by German-Swiss parents of Amish and Mennonite lineage. She lived in a community where television and radio were taboo. As she matured, Elizabeth became aware of a modern, progressive world outside her strict upbringing and eventually the intrigue of Hollywood transformed into her love for filmmaking.
She has won multiple awards from International film festivals, most recently the Grand Jury Award for Best Director, Best Short Film, Best Narrative Film, Best Screenplay, Best Actress, Audience Choice for Best Short Film and two Audience Choice Best Actress Awards for her portrayal of Margo in 'Sanvean'. Previously, she received 'Storytelling Achievement Award', 'Best Actress', 'Best Actor' and the 'Ribaut Award for Best Short Film' and was nominated alongside screen icon Shirley MacLaine in the 'Best Actress' category.
Life sometimes slaps us in the face with a horrific event we cannot change and circumstances simply too appalling to accept. Our film is a powerful depiction of an event that every human being will face, the death of a loved one or someone close. We partnered in making this film with the non-profit organization Elevating Hope to help raise awareness for their bereavement support mission.
