Samuel is a winner of the BBC Comedy Writers Room, finalist of the ITV/Red Planet Prize, and featured on the 2017 BBC Talents Hot List. His latest short film ADRIFT was supported by Fuijfilm, and was featured in the British Cinematographer Magazine.

In 2018, Samuel was a Samsung Paralympic Reporter to the Pyeong Chang Winter Paralympics. His subsequent short film THE ENERGY WITHIN starring Paralympian Stef Reid, was funded by BP and distributed by the Paralympics, gathering 400 000 views on their social media channels.

Samuel was also commissioned by Hartswood Films (SHERLOCK) to develop his TV comedy drama LIFE GOES ON.
He is currently in production on his debut animation short LILITH AND EVE featuring Susan Wokoma (CHEWING GUM, ENOLA HOLMES) and Aimee Lou Wood (SEX EDUCATION) in the title roles.
Samuel writes and directs ambitious films that are entertaining, often funny, but also make the audience think. Samuel is passionate about bringing a diverse range of characters to life, each inspired by those close to his heart.
