Director Statement

Thank you very much for taking the time to consider this short film on the alpine parish of Saint Francis. I hope this film inspires people to visit the church, admire the beautiful sacred art, and get a sense of the community’s culture and history - which started out in various casinos.
While I had a little bit of help on the first day of filming, I did everything else, from hauling equipment into the church, being the DP and sound guy and director at the same time, to editing and color matching four cameras.
This is my first faith-based documentary and I'm so happy to submit it to faith-based film festivals. As a professional videographer and film editor in the educational realm, and a devout Catholic, I want to combine my faith with my skills to give greater glory to God. I hope you enjoy this short documentary about a Catholic parish high in the alpine forest of Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
