Carl Sundström was born back in 1992 and was raised in Kramfors, Sweden. He recorded his first amateur film as a 9 year old and he's been making movies ever since. Now, he has taken it to the next level. He graduated from film school in 2017 and during his time there he wrote and directed a few horror shorts.
His passion has always revolved around the storytelling about horror and the paranormal. That combined with the fixation of documentary film-making, he has created the hour+ long award winning documentary film ”Documenting the Witch Path”.

Director Statement

We are living in a strange and often terrifying world. A world where equals are treated as different. In the eyes of millions there is a burning disdain for humans they view as inferior to themselves.

SAFE HAVEN is made from a perspective that might be more real than what our eyes are revealing to us in our everyday life. It shows you the narration from an equal that has been treated as inferior her entire life. As history has shown, hate creates hate, that creates vengeance. In this case, history won't change, but maybe the downcast will get its revenge.
I present to you, a story from the other side that is rooted deep down in reality.
