Director Biography - Jonathan Glendening

Summer Rain was Jonathan's first feature film after 3 successful short films garnered attention. Summer Rain shot in 1998 for 5 weeks and then ran out of money. Exactly 10 months later, the same cast and crew reunited for the last 3 weeks of filming. Jonathan then spent 2-3 years sneaking into edit suites to finish it!

Since that epic achievement, Jonathan has gone on to direct S.N.U.B!, 13HRS (Prime), NIGHT WOLF (Netflix) and STRIPPERS VS WEREWOLVES.

Director Statement

It is with a great joy that I present the 25th anniversary redux of Summer Rain. The film was a wonderful (if stressful) experience and it encapsulated the lives of myself and my friends in the late 90's in a fun, shiny, optimistic era of the UK. It still stands out as one of the few up-beat positive films about youth and hopefully will capture the nostalgia for that more innocent time. JGx
