"STRIGOI" is my first full-length short film as a director and producer. Shortly after shooting a pitch trailer in the summer of 2020, I realized that the three lead actors from that project - Diana D'Amato, Seleste Cowie, and Emily Smith - were a perfect fit for three characters from an existing miniseries script I've been writing over the last few years, titled "Blood Shepherd". The idea to film a short horror film based on "Blood Shepherd" had been brewing for a while at that point, and the timing seemed perfect. I wrote the script for "STRIGOI" and pitched it to the actors, who quickly signed on and played a key role in the film's production. We shot the film over three days in Richmond, VA with a small, COVID-safe team and it was a wonderful experience, despite some long, cold nights and a flooded garage. I'm excited to unveil our finished project and could not be happier with the performance of my cast and crew.
