Director Statement

Co-creating this collaborative film has been a joy. Over months—or even years—of weekly meetings, this incredible group of young, neurodivergent creatives formed deep connections while honing key skills in animation, filmmaking, scriptwriting, drawing, painting, and editing through lessons and mentorship. But the true magic happened when the group embraced deep listening, allowing their shared narratives to unfold.

Together, we explored what it means to be neurodivergent from lived experience. What did we want the world to understand about our realities? How could we educate people about neurodiversity and challenge misconceptions in ways that were neuro-affirming—without diminishing our challenges or our strengths?

The result is a film that is unapologetically vibrant and quirky. Each artist’s unique style and voice shines through, yet all are woven together into a powerful message: our presence and experiences enrich the human story, and we are proud to be who we are.
