S.O.L.
S.O.L. (Statute of Limitations / Shit Outta Luck) is a short film that looks at the limits of justice and the uncertain journey of healing. Through poetic visuals, it explores how survivors deal with trauma. S.O.L. is both personal and political. It breaks the silence, shows where systems fall short, and reclaims power through storytelling.

Regina Dezbah Simons is a Native American filmmaker. Her work features strong, complex female leads and focuses on representing Native people in film and media. She works in narrative, documentary, and experimental film genres.
As a filmmaker, my path has been about breaking free from the narratives others have imposed on me and stepping into telling my own layered, bold, and meaningful stories. With each film, I reclaim my story, my image, my identity, and my voice. I hope my work encourages conversations about truth, representation, and the need to challenge outdated stereotypes about Native people in film and media.
