Alexandra is a South African graduate of Product Design BSc Hons from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design.
With a keen interest in writing and communicating through storytelling, creating relatable and interesting characters is what she strives to show on screen. Some of her key focuses are having a strong feminine background and being about to bring LGBT content to life.
Aiesha is a Scottish graduate of Digital Interaction Design BSc Hons from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design.
With a want to bring LGBT content to life, Aiesha uses her interests in videography to help show this content throughout her work. This is shown in her need to bring more accessibility to the screen with representations of mental illness and disabilities through characters, sets and context.
Initially SIKE was conceptualised for a local filmmaking group in Dundee, however this was halted due to COVID-19 restrictions. A
year later we had the opportunity to create a short film for our university coursework university coursework and with some alterations, SIKE was created.
The idea behind SIKE came from our mutual love of music and
a little show called Killing Eve. The writing, artistic direction and cinematography was heavily influenced by the show's attention to detail.
