SEXPLORATION - How Do I Really Want It?
Six people are performing actions in front of the camera, which they chose regarding their own sexuality - what might be helpful in their current life situation? What is empowering, what calls them, what is enrichening? Looking at vulvas, printing them, an oil ritual, a clearing talk with parents about the lack of sexual education, addressing foot fetish, making love while pregnant, exchanging about penisses, getting tied up, showing themselves to the world and deconstructing shame... A film project about sexual empowerment.

Liisa Zielke (born 1990) is a workshop and event facilitator, Gestalt therapist and filmmaker. She has been creating short films for several years, starting a filmmaking career, then paused it and turned towards her current field of work, in which she offers seminars and events around personality development, touch, sexuality and empowerment. Her studies at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM) were concluded in 2024 with an intense documentary film project, in which she combined her passion of working towards inner empowerment regarding sexuality with filmmaking. She grew up mostly in Hamburg, Germany, has also lived in in Russia, Ivory Coast and Spain, travelled many other countries, and is currently living in Cologne, Germany.
A few years ago I stopped making films in a state of something like an inner burn-out, and instead turned towards what is now my (professional) life: events, workshops and private sessions around personalty development, sexuality, emotions and touch. (In this I find great fulfillment to this very day!) Then I decided to still conclude the film studies that I had enrolled in at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, and started this (unexpectedly extensive!) documentary project. I think that it connects my former with my current professional world, and I hope to inspire people by this film to make empowering steps in their lifes for their own sexuality and desires.
