Director Biography - Mochamad Virgiansa Lisvianto

He started to be interested in the visual world since 6th grade. Then start creating sketch comedy content from 2017 to late 2019 and uploaded on Instagram. Then switch to Streetphotography which started at the beginning of the pandemic. After that, I started trying to make a short film script at the end in 2021 with the title DELAYED. The second short film with the title ONLINE and won 2nd place in MOVE UP Film Competition held by Pertamina University. The third short film with the title DERKUKU won 2nd place in the best directing category held by Amikom University Yogyakarta and the Official Program Filmme arek Airlangga Cinema Film Festival 2023.

Director Statement

The idea for this film came from a real incident that the director experienced himself and his friend. The director decided to make this film with the aim of reminding the audience that the differences that occur in Indonesia are very diverse and that all the events we experience do not need to be recorded and upload it to social media. The director approached his friend who happened to have a different culture and outlook to do research on the habits of two people from different cultures, so that the events that occurred could be close to the audience.
