SAYRA

The story begins with a video call scene. Sayra, a 20-year-old girl, is talking to her mother.
Her parents are fixing her marriage with someone.Due to the covid restrictions, Sayra’s parents and her fiancé are unable to come home.
Sayra has to watch her Nikah ceremony online at her home with other relatives.
The story ends with her feeling helpless in her own life decisions like most of the girls.

Director Biography - SAFAL M SAMAD

Biography

Safal is a director and entrepreneur based out of Kochi. In 2014, he shot a Docudrama “Oru Dweepinte Kadha” which was covered extensively by the newspapers and screened at several film festivals in Kerala. Safal’s short film “120 gutters per day” had won the second best short film in ‘Shoot an idea contest’ conducted by Mathrubhumi back in 2016. He is a graduate in Visual Communication from SRM University, Chennai.
