SAVING ISIS / SALVANDO A ISIS
Saving Isis
Fantasy / Horror – Feature Film
In the scorched ruins of a post-apocalyptic New Mexico, 2015, Eva Moon is one of the last survivors. Her world is a silent wasteland, haunted by echoes of the dead and ruled by shadows. The only thought that keeps her going is a desperate obsession: to reunite with her long-lost parents—taken from her in childhood when she was sent away to Spain.
Years later, she returns to the United States only to find desolation, death, and the ashes of everything she once knew. Now, she wanders between dimensions, torn between the bitter reality she cannot bear and a dreamworld where the dead still whisper and anything seems possible.
But no matter how deeply she slips into the dream, the nightmare of life claws her back. She cannot escape her fate—because, as the ancient prophecy claims in the prologue: "She chose this life before she was born."
In the end, Eva will face a terrifying truth: destiny is not a path to be found, but a curse to be fulfilled.

Artist Statement – DaVida Sal
As a filmmaker, I create from instinct, from dream, and from the raw edges of emotion. My work is not linear—because life rarely is. I am drawn to the subconscious, to the moments between memory and hallucination, where reality unravels and something more profound is revealed.
Saving Isis is a deeply personal film. It came from a place of grief, longing, and transformation. It is a journey through trauma and the surreal landscapes it leaves behind. When I made it, I wasn’t trying to follow cinematic conventions—I was following a vision. I was listening to what the character Eva Moon needed to feel, and what I needed to express.
I am inspired by filmmakers who dare to challenge form—Buñuel, Lynch, the neorealists—but I’m not trying to emulate anyone. I believe cinema should be like a fever dream, hypnotic and confrontational. A mirror, but also a portal.
I make films for people who feel outside of the mainstream narrative—for those who’ve experienced loss, madness, exile, or spiritual awakening. I want to create spaces where the strange is sacred, and the subconscious becomes the map. My goal is never to explain, but to awaken something forgotten.
In the end, my films are offerings—from soul to screen.
