In a small, vibrant community far from her hometown, Sofia meets someone who changes her life forever. This newfound love not only helps Sofia to embrace her identity but also teaches her that love can be a powerful force for healing and acceptance. Through her journey, Sofia learns that perseverance in the face of adversity and the courage to be true to oneself are key to finding happiness and fulfillment.

She is an overall creative who has ventured from writing to painting, utilizing these passions has now led her to the filmmaking world doing her first short film.
Running Free was specially created to assist the viewer in projecting themselves onto our main character, Sofia. Using a creative camera technique, only capturing half of our actresses' face. Giving you the freedom of imagining yourself or a loved one in Sofia's position, cultivating a more emotional experience. This film aids in understanding a small part of a bigger scope in the LGBTQ+ experience through a young girl finding shelter in places other than her own home, which is way too common in the queer teenage experience. The purpose of Running Free is to expand non LGBTQ+ people's viewpoints on the reality of being a queer teen living at home and vise versa give the queer community the representation needed and the understanding that should be required.
