Director Statement

Our latest short film, Run, is an experimental piece that reflects on past trauma and the real effects of concussion, all framed through the simple act of going for a run.

In making Run, we wanted to step outside of traditional storytelling and use experimental film techniques, unconventional editing rhythms, layered sound design, and abstract imagery, to place the audience directly in the unsettled headspace of the protagonist.

This project was a true collaboration. Working with writer Derek Heath, whose insights shaped the emotional foundation of the story, and actor Callum Adkins, whose performance brought both vulnerability and intensity to the role, was an inspiring and rewarding experience.

For me, Run is about more than narrative, it’s about evoking a state of mind and inviting the viewer to feel, rather than just watch.
