Mark Kiefer is an award-winning filmmaker based in Boston. His debut feature "Pacific Coast" premiered at the 2023 Woods Hole Film Festival and his short films have screened at Indy Shorts (Heartland Film Festival), the Naples International Film Festival, the Nantucket Film Festival, Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival, Palm Springs International Comedy Festival, Lone Star Film Festival, and New York Shorts among others. He was a producer of the indie sitcom pilot M.V. Blues (mvblues.com), a buddy comedy set and shot on Martha’s Vineyard in 2011. He has written four other feature length screenplays, including a period drama set in 1930s Germany, a period comedy about the Boston Tea Party, a thriller set in modern day New York, and a buddy comedy about Native American heritage set on Nantucket. In addition to his creative pursuits, Mark has long been involved in historic preservation efforts, and currently serves as Chairman of the Beacon Hill Architectural Commission, the official regulatory body of New England's oldest historic district. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University in Connecticut.
