This art film is a visual and narrative poem, where stylised footage of American rodeos and Portuguese fairgrounds, offers a meditation on the struggles and beauty of boundless artistic creation, of sexual expression at a time of encroaching repression, and the possibility of cosmic redemption. Its slowed-down, lascivious images, and hymnal soundtrack, evoke a place between the sacred and ambiguously sacrilegious.
