Director Biography - Frank van der Meijden

Frank van der Meijden is a Dutch director and screenwriter, who films his own (short) stories. For the last five years, he has focused more on the film business.

'Room Available' is the first short film he produced and directed entirely by himself. With other directors and filmmakers, he is also active as a screenwriter for other projects.

Previously, as a linguist and journalist, he was more involved in writing. He has published several novels, collections of short stories and non-fiction books.

Another creative movement he is involved in, is music. He has played in several bands for many years, and he also composes and arranges his own film music.

In addition to his creative work, he is partly active in the communications profession. He worked for years with the Dutch police and now he is lecturer at an university of applied sciences.
