Rock Beyond Bars
BEHIND BARS COLLECTIVE brought their music inside the penitentiary of Trani holding a workshop with the inmates. The inmates themselves were invited to become protagonists and to unleash their creative expression.
This experience is narrated in the documentary “Rock Beyond Bars”. The film witnesses to the sounds and images of a workshop conducted with empathy and passion.

Passionate about photography, cinema and multimedia communication since his early adolescence, in 1988 he approached the world of professional video production.
From 1999 to 2019 he had been the owner of the TV EYE video production studio, based in Bari.
He is constantly engaged in the main fields of application of professional video and television production as a director, trainer or with other technical and creative tasks.
He is the director of TV commercials, events, documentaries, promotional and institutional films, music videos, etc.
Since 1993 he has held courses, classes and workshops focused on audiovisual production, photography and music, both of a cultural or technical nature.
A music lover since childhood, he is a blues-oriented musician, composer and lyricist. He has 6 studio albums under his belt with different projects and a live activity which has led him to perform in all the major Italian cities, in the main European countries and in the United States. He has as well experience as a content creator, video channel host, tour manager, stage director and music festival coordinator.
Too often, prison functions as a social dump. A convict enters prison and the media spotlight is turned off. Society does not care about what happens “behind bars”.
Many people believe that in prison there are monsters locked up. This documentary is intended to bringing people caught up in the grind of everyday life, to see the world "behind bars" under a whole different light.
